Finding Time to Exercise

In our busy day to day lives, it can be hard sometimes to find time to exercise. After working for 40 hours a week, fighting traffic, and family life, sometimes the last thing on our minds is to head to the gym and work out. Or for some people, there is no access to a gym at all.

Fortunately, there are ways to work out without having to go to a gym, and in some cases, without even having to leave home.

Here are some examples:
1. Are you watching the Tv/News/etc.. when you get home? Then while you are watching, you can do some curls with some weights, or some situps/crunches, anything that can be done from a sitting position that does not impede your view of the tv.
2. When going to the grocery store/mall/work/etc… Do you park as close as you can to the front doors? Instead, make it a point to park at the farthest corner possible, you can get in a good walk and you are pratically guaranteed a parking space as well. (Be careful doing this at night or during inclement weather, use your best judgement anytime you decide to do this.)
3. When at work, is your workspace on any floor higher than the 1st floor? If so, consider using the stairs if possible instead of the elevator. Even just 1 flight of stairs will burn a few extra calories, that you otherwise may not have burned.

These are just a couple of examples that you can look into to doing to get some more exercise during the day, Even if you are going to a gym, doing these types of activities on top of what you are already doing, can only help you further.
